Director – Mr. Jseph Mensah Amapadu
Mr. Joseph Mensah Ampadu holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from the Scholl of Administration, University of Ghana, Legon (now(University of Ghana Business School). He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Charted Accountants(Ghana) by profession. He holds a Master’s degree in Commerce (MCom) from the University of Ghana.
Mr. Ampadu had a two-year post –secondary teacher training at Wesley College in Kumasi and thereafter had a close to five years teaching career before joining the banking services sector in 1984.
He had a long and illustrious 30 years career in banking, which started from the Rural Banking Department of Bank of Ghana as a Rural Bank Manager-trainee. He worked at Manya Krobo Rural Bank, Odumase Krobo, Akuapem Rural Bank, Mamfe Akuapem and Mumuadu Rural Bank, Osino –Akimin. He held various middle level management positions.
Mr. Ampadu moved to the mainstream commercial banking sector in 1986, when he joined the Social Security Bank Ltd in 1986 as a probationary officer and worked there for 15yerars, in various capacities including branch management, accounts and inspection/audit.
He later joined Prudential Bank Ltd in 2002 and held a variety of senior positions, including Deputy Head of International Banking Department and Deputy Chief Manager, Internal Control Division among others.
He attended and participated in a number of local and international courses and programmes in banking and accounting. He has therefore gained considerable experience in financial reporting, interpretation and analysis.
Mr. Ampadu has served on the board and provided financial advisory services to some Microfinance institutions. He is a Managing Partner of “Home of Little Roses School and Early Childhood Development Centre” and is further into private financial consultancy services that provide financial advisory services to solo entrepreneurs and executives.
He joined the Board of Ghana Industrial and Commercial Estates Ltd(GICEL) in August 2017.
